JoJo Golden Spirit Stands List
Forty of the confirmed characters in JoJo: Golden Spirit are Stand users. This is the complete list, mapped to their users, Part and rarity — plus the eight confirmed characters who fight with Hamon or something else entirely. The roster leans heavily on Part 5, which supplies 16 of the 40 Stands on its own.
⚠️ historical pre-launch note: the character list and rarities below come from the official reveals and the May 2026 closed-beta roster. The Stand names are the ones these characters carry in the source material — how each Stand becomes a skill kit in Golden Spirit remains unverified here; this page does not infer kits from source-material powers. The roster itself is also explicitly incomplete: the reference list it is drawn from states that it covers only characters revealed in the closed beta and in promotional material, so expect launch to add names rather than confirm this as final.
The six Parts, and how the roster splits across them
Golden Spirit draws from Parts 1 through 6 of the anime, and the split is not even — it is heavily weighted toward Part 5:
| Part | Title | Confirmed representation |
|---|---|---|
| Part 1 | Phantom Blood | No Stands (pre-Stand era) — Hamon users and Bruford, Tarkus |
| Part 2 | Battle Tendency | No Stands — Hamon users, a cyborg and a Pillar Man |
| Part 3 | Stardust Crusaders | 8 Stands + Star Platinum and The World among the marquee four |
| Part 4 | Diamond is Unbreakable | 6 Stands + Crazy Diamond among the marquee four |
| Part 5 | Golden Wind | 16 Stands — the largest block by a wide margin |
| Part 6 | Stone Ocean | 6 Stands + Stone Free among the marquee four |
Parts 1 and 2 contribute no Stands at all for a reason that is canon rather than a design choice: Stands do not exist yet in those arcs. Their characters fight with Hamon instead, which is why the Stand count and the character count do not match.
The four marquee Stands
Confirmed playable, announced outside the closed-beta roster, rarity not yet listed:
| User | Stand | Part |
|---|---|---|
| Jotaro Kujo | Star Platinum | 3 |
| DIO | The World | 3 |
| Josuke Higashikata | Crazy Diamond | 4 |
| Jolyne Cujoh | Stone Free | 6 |
These four are the headline names and the only Stands whose rarity is still blank — worth watching, because a marquee unit landing at SSR changes reroll targets.
Part 3: Stardust Crusaders — 8 Stands
| User | Stand | Rarity |
|---|---|---|
| Joseph Joestar | Hermit Purple | SR |
| Hol Horse | Emperor | SR |
| Pet Shop | Horus | SR |
| N’Doul | Geb | SR |
| Chaka | Anubis | SR |
| Captain Dragon | Dark Blue Moon | SR |
| Mariah | Bastet | R |
| Rubber Soul | Yellow Temperance | R |
Note that Joseph appears with Hermit Purple here and with Hamon in Part 2 — he is the one character on the roster confirmed to carry both, and the free SR every the closed pre-registration campaign account receives.
Part 4: Diamond is Unbreakable — 6 Stands
| User | Stand | Rarity |
|---|---|---|
| Koichi Hirose | Echoes | SSR |
| Keicho Nijimura | Bad Company | SR |
| Akira Otoishi | Red Hot Chili Pepper | SR |
| Tonio Trussardi | Pearl Jam | SR |
| Shigekiyo Yangu | Harvest | R |
| Anjuro Katagiri | Aqua Necklace | R |
Part 5: Golden Wind — 16 Stands
The largest single-Part block on the roster by a wide margin.
| User | Stand | Rarity |
|---|---|---|
| Giorno Giovanna | Gold Experience | SSR |
| Bruno Bucciarati | Sticky Fingers | SSR |
| Prosciutto | The Grateful Dead | SSR |
| Diavolo | King Crimson | SSR |
| Cioccolata | Green Day | SSR |
| Leone Abbacchio | Moody Blues | SR |
| Guido Mista | Sex Pistols | SR |
| Narancia Ghirga | Aerosmith | SR |
| Formaggio | Little Feet | SR |
| Mario Zucchero | Soft Machine | SR |
| Melone | Baby Face | SR |
| Ghiaccio | White Album | SR |
| Secco | Oasis | SR |
| Pesci | Beach Boy | R |
| Squalo | Clash | R |
| Sale | Kraft Work | R |
Five of the game’s eleven closed-beta SSRs come from Part 5. If you are rerolling, this is where the density is: Giorno, Bruno Bucciarati, Prosciutto, Diavolo and Cioccolata all sit in one Part, which means a Part 5 banner is statistically the densest place to spend. What none of them have yet is a published fighting style — no source assigns characters to the six styles before the August 13 release (historical).
Part 6: Stone Ocean — 6 Stands
| User | Stand | Rarity |
|---|---|---|
| F.F. | Foo Fighters | SSR |
| Ermes Costello | Kiss | SSR |
| Johngalli A. | Manhattan Transfer | SR |
| Viviano Westwood | Planet Waves | SR |
| Sports Maxx | Limp Bizkit | SR |
| Gwess | Goo Goo Dolls | R |
The characters who are not Stand users
Parts 1 and 2 predate Stands entirely, so their confirmed representatives fight with Hamon (the Ripple) or with abilities of their own:
- Hamon users — Jonathan Joestar, Will A. Zeppeli, Caesar Anthonio Zeppeli, Lisa Lisa, Straizo and Joseph Joestar.
- Rudol von Stroheim — cyborg body.
- Santviento — Pillar Man.
This matters for team building rather than trivia: the game sorts units by fighting style, not by whether they use a Stand, so a Hamon user and a Stand user can occupy the same role. See fighting styles.
What the Stand list does and does not tell you
Does: which characters are in, which Part they represent, and their rarity — which together are enough to plan a reroll target and read the roster’s Part 5 bias.
Does not: what any Stand actually does in combat. Golden Spirit sorts units into six fighting styles whose effects are all published — but no source says which style any of these characters belongs to. A Stand famous for time manipulation in the manga may be a straightforward damage unit here; nobody outside the studio knows yet, and any site assigning skills or styles to these Stands today is writing fan fiction.
Full kits, style assignments for all 40, and the four marquee rarities land on August 13, 2026, and this page gets rewritten with them.
Sources
Only one character-to-Stand pairing has an official statement behind it so far. The rest of this list maps the source manga, which is why the page separates the two.
- Jotaro Kujo Character Trailer, published August 14, 2026 — the only first-party statement we have found that pairs a character with a Stand and a rarity in this game, and that names the item used to recruit.

Frequently Asked Questions
How many Stands are confirmed in JoJo: Golden Spirit?
Forty confirmed characters are Stand users, spread across Parts 3 to 6, plus eight who fight with Hamon or another ability from Parts 1 and 2. Part 5 alone supplies 16 of the 40 Stands, the largest single-Part block on the roster.
Do Stand abilities work the same as in the manga?
Unknown. The Stand names are canon to these confirmed characters, but Golden Spirit sorts units by fighting style and has not published a single Stand skill kit. A Stand known for time manipulation in the manga could be a plain damage unit here; nobody outside the studio knows before August 13, 2026.
Which Part has the most characters in JoJo: Golden Spirit?
Part 5, by a wide margin: 17 of the 50 closed-beta units, including 16 Stand users and five of the eleven SSRs. If you are planning a reroll, that is where the SSR density is.
