JoJo: Golden Spirit — Giorno Giovanna (SSR) Guide

Giorno Giovanna is a confirmed SSR unit from Part 5 in JoJo: Golden Spirit, listed with a Support fighting style. Here’s who he is and whether he’s worth chasing at launch.
⚠️ Pre-launch note: Giorno’s exact skills, stats and star-up path aren’t public until the August 13 launch. This page covers the confirmed facts (rarity, Part, style) and his source material — we add the full kit on day one.
Who is Giorno Giovanna?
Giorno is the protagonist of Part 5: Golden Wind. Raised in Italy and secretly the son of DIO, he sets out to rise through the Passione crime family with a single goal: to become a “Gang-Star” who cleans the organisation from the top down. His calm, principled drive to protect the weak makes him one of the most quietly ruthless JoJos.
Stand: Gold Experience
Giorno wields Gold Experience, a Stand that can give life to inanimate matter — turning objects into living creatures and even growing new body parts. Its signature trick is flooding a target’s senses with the “life” it creates, stretching a moment of pain into what feels like an eternity. In Part 5’s climax it awakens into Gold Experience Requiem (GER), which resets any action back to zero — an ability the story frames as all but unbeatable.
Giorno in Golden Spirit
- Rarity: SSR
- Part: 5 (Golden Wind)
- Fighting style: Support (officially listed)
- Kit & stats: pending — confirmed at the August 13 launch
As a Support unit, Giorno is likely to enable a team rather than act as a raw carry, which fits how fighting styles shape a balanced formation. We’ll confirm his actual skills the moment they’re public.
Should you reroll for Giorno?
An SSR Support is a strong anchor for an opening roster, but Golden Spirit rewards a balanced team over any single unit. If you like Giorno, a light reroll is reasonable — see the reroll guide and check the confirmed roster on the tier list.
