This guide covers how it works, what you’ll be pulling with on day one, and which of the 11 confirmed SSR units that were known when the game launched on August 13, 2026.

What is rerolling?

Rerolling means restarting on a fresh account until your opening summons land a top-tier SSR, then committing to that account. It trades time for a stronger start. In most gacha games the loop is: clear the tutorial, claim your starter rewards, spend them on summons, and reset if the results disappoint. How fast a single loop is in Golden Spirit — and whether there’s a built-in account reset or you’ll need to swap guest accounts — has not been independently verified in the global build.

Is it worth rerolling in Golden Spirit?

Golden Spirit is a team-based auto-battler — a balanced formation across the six fighting styles matters more than any single unit, and its RUSH mode (+25% final damage) only triggers when different classes chain their ultimates. That design actively punishes tunnel-visioning one character. So: a light reroll for one strong SSR carry or support is usually enough; only hardcore players should grind long resets. Duplicates also convert into fragments that raise a unit’s Star (1–5), so a “wasted” duplicate pull later still adds power.

What you’ll be rerolling with

Every closed pre-registration campaign milestone has been reached, so every account starts with the full reward set — see the closed pre-registration campaign page for the table. The parts that matter for your opening summons:

• 600 Astrogem — the premium currency from the 500,000 sign-up tier.
• 20 Stone of Destiny and 10 Card: Uncharted Fate — named summon items from the milestone list; based on standard gacha conventions we expect these to be pull currency, but their exact global-build function remains unverified here.
• 200,000 Coins and 2 Extreme Trial Keys — economy and stamina-style rewards that won’t affect your reroll but smooth out your first days.
• A guaranteed SR Joseph Joestar, free on every account — which means your reroll only needs to chase SSRs, not a starter roster.

Which SSR to aim for

The closed beta confirmed 11 SSR units: Jonathan Joestar, Caesar Anthonio Zeppeli, Mohammed Avdol, Koichi Hirose, Giorno Giovanna, Bruno Bucciarati, Prosciutto, Diavolo, Cioccolata, F.F. and Ermes Costello. None of them has a published fighting style — the six style effects are documented, but no source maps characters onto them, so nobody can tell you today which of the 11 fills which role.

That is an argument for rerolling less, not harder. Until kits and styles are public, aim by what you can verify:

1. Any SSR at all. Rarity is confirmed for all 11; style is confirmed for none.
2. Part 5 density. Five of the 11 SSRs come from Golden Wind, so a Part 5 banner is where the SSR concentration sits — see the Stands list.

Any SSR that covers one of those two slots is a keepable account. Check the tier evidence tracker for the documented roster and per-character pages, and expect our rankings to be rewritten within days of launch as real kits and rates land.

What we don’t know yet

Being honest about the gaps: drop rates and pity are unannounced, the presence of a beginner/selector banner is unconfirmed, and nobody outside KLab knows how long one reroll cycle takes. If launch brings a selector or a strong guaranteed banner, light rerolling may be unnecessary; decide from the current account rules and your roster rather than a future update promise.
