JoJo: Golden Spirit Gacha & Summoning Explained

New to how summoning works in JoJo: Golden Spirit? Here’s the gacha explained — what you’re pulling for and how to spend efficiently.

⚠️ Pre-launch note: exact drop rates, pity thresholds and banner schedules aren’t public until the August 13 launch. This page covers the confirmed system; we add the precise numbers on day one.

The three rarities

Units and Stands come in three rarities — R, SR and SSR. SSRs are the rarest and headline the banners; R and SR units fill out your early roster while you build toward them.

How summoning works

You spend premium currency to summon from banners. Save your pulls for banners that feature an SSR you actually want rather than spreading them thin — a focused pull is almost always better value than scattered ones.

Duplicates and Star-up

Pulling a unit you already own isn’t wasted: duplicates convert into fragments that raise that unit’s Star (1–5), boosting its stats. So a copy of an SSR you’re already building is a real power increase, not a throwaway.

Spend efficiently

  • Bank free currency before launch and before each new banner.
  • Plan your opening summons with the reroll guide.
  • Check who’s worth targeting on the tier list.
