Chaka is a confirmed SR unit from Part 3 in JoJo: Golden Spirit and is listed with a Fighting fighting style. Here’s who they are and whether they’re worth chasing at launch.

⚠️ Pre-launch note: Chaka’s exact skills, stats and star-up path aren’t public until the August 13 launch. This page covers the confirmed facts (rarity, Part, style) and his source material — we add the full kit on day one.

Who is Chaka?

Chaka is a hot-headed swordsman who becomes an unwilling servant of DIO in Part 3: Stardust Crusaders. He isn’t a mastermind so much as a vessel — the moment he draws the cursed blade he carries, its Stand takes hold of him and turns an ordinary fighter into a lethal duelist. What makes him dangerous is less the man than the weapon he’s bound to.

Stand: Anubis

Chaka’s power comes from Anubis, a sentient sword Stand that possesses whoever draws it. Anubis has no loyalty and no body of its own; it hijacks its wielder and fights through them. Worse, it memorises an opponent’s attacks as a duel goes on, adapting to counter moves it has already seen — so the longer you trade blows with it, the more precisely it predicts and punishes you. A short, decisive fight is the only safe way to face it.

Chaka in Golden Spirit

  • Rarity: SR
  • Part: 3 (Stardust Crusaders)
  • Fighting style: Fighting (officially listed)
  • Kit & stats: pending — confirmed at the August 13 launch

As a Fighting unit, Chaka reads as a close-range melee attacker rather than a support or ranged piece, which is exactly how fighting styles split roles across a formation. We’ll confirm his actual skills the moment they’re public.

Should you reroll for Chaka?

A Fighting SR is a useful front-line body for an early roster, but an SR is a role-player rather than an anchor, and Golden Spirit rewards a balanced team over any single unit. If you like Chaka, roll for him as part of a wider attempt — see the reroll guide and check his rank on the tier list.
