JoJo: Golden Spirit — Iggy (SSR) Guide

beginner · By Elio Ferrara · Updated: Sep 20, 2026

Iggy joined JoJo: Golden Spirit on September 10, 2026, as a new SSR unit — the game’s first roster addition since launch. He was not part of the 54-character roster this site tracked at launch, and his own limited-time banner runs alongside a rate-up for Caesar Anthonio Zeppeli through September 23, 2026.

Who is Iggy?

Iggy is a small, foul-tempered Boston Terrier and one of the more unlikely Stand users in Part 3: Stardust Crusaders. Rescued from a life as a stray by Jean Pierre Polnareff — who owed him a debt after Iggy saved him from Dio’s Stand — Iggy reluctantly joins Jotaro’s group on the journey to Egypt. He is vain, cowardly and constantly biting the people around him, but his Stand makes him a genuinely dangerous fighter once cornered.

Stand: The Fool

Iggy’s Stand is The Fool, an unusual power that doesn’t take a humanoid form. Instead it animates sand, letting Iggy shape it into spikes, illusions and constructs at will. It is a Stand built for terrain control and misdirection rather than direct combat — Iggy wins fights by choosing where the battle happens, not by trading blows.

Iggy in Golden Spirit

Confirmed, from multiple sources agreeing on his existence and rarity:

• Rarity: SSR
• Added: September 10, 2026, in the Version 1.1 “Noble Soul” update
• Limited-time recruitment: September 10 – October 7, 2026
• Guild boss tie-in: the same patch added a guild boss fight, “Jean Pierre Polnareff and Iggy,” pairing him with his manga partner

Single-source, attributed to JoJo Wiki’s Golden Spirit coverage — not yet confirmed by a second tracker or an official patch note:

• Fighting style: Defense type
• Range: 2 tiles
• Ultimate — “The Fool”: covers a 2-tile area in a sandstorm for 10 seconds; allies inside gain a shield and reduced ranged damage taken, enemies inside take damage over time.
• Active — “Let Me Handle It!”: cone-shaped damage with an Attack Down debuff and a self Defense Up buff.
• Passives: a 30% damage-reduction window at the start of each battle, a chance for allies inside his sandstorm to deal bonus stun damage, and an ability to shield any ally who drops below 20% HP.

We are not printing exact numbers (percentages, cooldowns, base stats) as confirmed facts here — they come from one community wiki and have not been checked against the live client or a second independent source. The shape of the kit (area control, ally shielding, a low-HP save) is consistent across everything we found, which is why it is listed at all, but treat specific values as provisional until corroborated.

Should you pull for Iggy?

His banner is time-limited (through October 7, 2026) and runs alongside a Caesar Anthonio Zeppeli rate-up rather than standing alone, so there’s no rush based on scarcity of the unit itself — a Defense-type SSR with area control is unlikely to be removed from the game outright. If you already have your early game stabilized, prioritize by role gaps in your team rather than novelty; see the tier list and best team guide before committing pulls.

FAQ and sources

Is Iggy in the original launch roster? No — this site’s 54-character launch roster (tracked since August 13, 2026) did not include him. He is the first confirmed roster addition since launch.
