JoJo: Golden Spirit — Update History

JoJo: Golden Spirit has not received a content update since its August 13, 2026 launch. Checked September 3, 2026 — three weeks in — the iOS build is still 1.0.4, the exact version that shipped on day one, with release notes reading only “bug fix.” Google Play shows 1.0.17, last updated August 10, 2026, three days before the game even launched.

What actually happened since launch

  • August 13, 2026 — Global launch. Released worldwide except Japan.
  • August 14, 2026 — Jotaro Kujo banner. A limited SSR banner for Jotaro Kujo and his Stand Star Platinum, recruited via “Card: Timing Choice,” went live alongside a dedicated Stardust Crusaders story chapter. Neither store build number changed for it — this was a server-side content release, not a client update.
  • August 20, 2026 — “One Week of Adventure.” The official YouTube channel marked one week live with a recap video, noting the game appeared on outdoor screens in New York and Seoul to mark the launch.
  • Since August 20, 2026 — nothing published. No further trailers, patch notes, or in-game announcements on the official YouTube channel as of this check.

Why this is worth tracking, not just noting once

A three-week silence after launch is itself information for anyone deciding whether to invest time in a gacha game: it tells you nothing about content pacing going forward, but it rules out the “biweekly cadence” some fan sites assume by analogy with other Devsisters or KLab titles. No official source has stated an update cadence for this game. Treat any codes page or guide that claims one as guessing.

One detail from the launch trailer, unrelated to gameplay

The three Pre-Launch PV videos and the Official Gameplay Trailer credit their original score to Yugo Kanno, the composer for the JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure anime from Part 3: Stardust Crusaders through Part 7: STEEL BALL RUN. The official channel states this music is available in-game after launch — worth knowing for anyone searching by the BGM rather than the game.

How to check for yourself

Store listings move before news does, and they are the fastest way to know something shipped:

Platform Version at launch Version now Checked
iOS (App Store) 1.0.4 (August 13, 2026) 1.0.4 — unchanged September 3, 2026
Android (Google Play) 1.0.17, page updated August 10, 2026 September 3, 2026

If either number moves, this page will be updated with what changed and when.
