JoJo: Golden Spirit — Tarkus (SR) Guide

Tarkus is a confirmed SR unit from Part 1 in JoJo: Golden Spirit and is listed with a Fighting fighting style. Here’s who they are and whether they’re worth chasing at launch.
⚠️ Pre-launch note: Tarkus’s exact skills, stats and star-up path aren’t public until the August 13 launch. This page covers the confirmed facts (rarity, Part, style) and his source material — we add the full kit on day one.
Who is Tarkus?
Tarkus is a monstrous undead knight from Part 1: Phantom Blood, dragged back from the grave by the vampire Dio to hunt the Joestars. Where other villains scheme, Tarkus simply enjoys the kill — a towering, sadistic warrior who treats a fight as sport. He is the one who cuts down Will A. Zeppeli in battle.
Fighting style: Brute strength
Tarkus fights with nothing but overwhelming physical force. He relies on raw strength and grappling, crushing and pinning opponents until they can’t move, and his revived body shrugs off punishment that would fell a living man. He is less a duelist than a wall of muscle that has to be outthought rather than overpowered.
Tarkus in Golden Spirit
- Rarity: SR
- Part: 1 (Phantom Blood)
- Fighting style: Fighting (officially listed)
- Kit & stats: pending — confirmed at the August 13 launch
As a Fighting unit, Tarkus reads as a front-line bruiser, the sort of pick that anchors the melee slot in how fighting styles shape a formation. We’ll confirm his actual skills the moment they’re public.
Should you reroll for Tarkus?
A hard-hitting SR brawler can be a useful early carry, but Golden Spirit rewards a balanced team rather than one heavy hitter, so pair him with support rather than chasing him in isolation. See the reroll guide and the tier list before you commit.
