JoJo: Golden Spirit — Bruford (R) Guide

Bruford is a confirmed R unit from Part 1 in JoJo: Golden Spirit (fighting style not yet revealed). Here’s who they are and what to expect at launch.
⚠️ Pre-launch note: Bruford’s exact skills, stats and star-up path aren’t public until the August 13 launch. This page covers the confirmed facts (rarity, Part, style) and his source material — we add the full kit on day one.
Who is Bruford?
Bruford first appears in Part 1: Phantom Blood as a fallen hero. Centuries before the main story he was a proud English knight, loyal to his crown until death — and then far beyond it. The vampire Dio Brando drags him back from the grave as an undead thrall, stripping away the man and leaving a weaponised corpse in his place.
Fighting style: Undead knight
Raised as one of Dio’s Zombie Knights, Bruford fights with a swordsman’s precision and a monster’s toolkit. His blade work is genuine skill carried over from life, but his deadliest weapon is his own prehensile hair, which lashes out to bind and strike like a nest of whips. In his duel with Jonathan Joestar the buried knight briefly wins back his lost honour, and before he fades he gifts Jonathan his sword — a small act of grace from a warrior who never truly wanted to be a weapon.

Is Bruford worth using?
R units like Bruford are the game’s common, entry-level pulls rather than reroll targets — you’ll collect plenty of them just by playing. That said, an early swordsman can hold a slot while you build out your roster. Save your reroll energy for higher rarities using the reroll guide, and see where he lands on the tier list.
