Before you open the app
- Check your account’s mailbox for pre-registration rewards, if you haven’t already claimed them. Rewards were fully unlocked before launch and are still sitting in the client for any account that hasn’t collected them — details in how to download.
- Free up storage. Size is unpublished, so leave more room than you think.
- Know your target. You cannot pick by fighting style — no source assigns characters to the six styles yet — so decide which units you actually want to field and confirm their style tag on the recruitment screen once you are in.
The first hour, in order
- Claim your pre-registration reward mail, if you haven’t already. 200,000 Coins, 600 Astrogem, 20 Stone of Destiny, 10 Card: Uncharted Fate, 2 Extreme Trial Keys and a free SR Joseph Joestar. Do not spend any of it yet.
- Open the summon screen and read the rate disclosure — before pulling. This is the highest-value thirty seconds you’ll spend. It confirms the SSR rate and pity count for the banner you’re on — see the confirmed live rates as a baseline, but always check the disclosure on the specific banner.
- Bind the account. Link it to a real login rather than staying on a guest session. A guest account lost to a reinstall takes its rewards with it, and that is unrecoverable.
- Now decide about rerolling — with real rates in hand instead of assumptions. The reroll guide covers whether it is worth it; the short version is that Golden Spirit rewards balanced teams over any single unit, so keep any reroll light.
- Redeem launch codes. Check the codes page — launch codes are usually short-lived, and free currency early is worth more than the same amount later.
- Spend in one block, not in trickles. Concentrated pulls are the right call under every possible pity design.
- Learn the one manual input before your first real fight. Combat is automatic except for this: when a character’s energy bar fills, their portrait flashes, and tapping it fires their cinematic ultimate. Since RUSH needs three different-class ultimates to land, when you tap is the only in-fight lever you hold.
What to ignore on day one
- Tier lists published before the August 13 launch, including ours. Every ranking that existed on launch morning was written without stats. Ours said so on the page at the time.
- “Best team” posts from the first hours. Nobody has played enough to know. The six fighting style effects are public, but which character belongs to which style is not — so any launch-morning comp is guessing at half the inputs.
- Rushing the story to unlock content. Auto-battlers reward a stable roster more than they reward speed, and the account you build in week one is the one you keep.
The first week
