JoJo Golden Spirit Currencies

JoJo: Golden Spirit has five confirmed currencies and items, and we know they exist for a specific reason: they are the closed pre-registration campaign reward list, published by the developers themselves. That list is the closest thing to an economy preview the game has given — Astrogem, Stone of Destiny, Coins, Card: Uncharted Fate and Extreme Trial Keys. Here is what each is, and — just as important — where the official information stops.

⚠️ historical pre-launch note: the names and quantities below are official. What each item buys, and at what price, is not published for any of them. Where this page says what something is probably for, it says so in those words.

The five confirmed items

Item Given at launch What it is
Coins 200,000 The soft currency — the one you earn constantly and spend on upkeep
Astrogem 600 The premium currency, the one summons are priced in
Stone of Destiny 20 A summon-related item, distinct from Astrogem
Card: Uncharted Fate 10 A summon-related card, again distinct
Extreme Trial Key 2 An access item for a mode called Extreme Trial

Plus a free SR Joseph Joestar, which is a character rather than a currency but arrives from the same list. Full breakdown on the closed pre-registration campaign rewards page.

Coins — the one you will never think about until you run out

200,000 is a large opening number, which usually means Coins are the high-volume, low-value currency: levelling, upgrading, the costs that recur every session. Games in this genre hand out a big Coin float at launch precisely because the early hours would otherwise stall on it. Expect to stop noticing Coins around the point you start running out of them, which is typically a week in.

Astrogem — the currency that decides your roster

Astrogem is the premium currency, and 600 of it is the number that actually matters on day one because it converts into summons. Everything in the gacha guide about banking pulls rather than spending them as they arrive is really advice about this one item. What is not known: the Astrogem price of a single summon, the price of a ten-pull, whether discounted first-pull bundles exist, and the earn rate from events and missions. Without the per-pull price, “600 Astrogem” cannot yet be converted into a number of summons, and any site telling you how many pulls you are getting is inventing it.

Stone of Destiny and Card: Uncharted Fate

These two are the interesting entries, because the developers listed them separately from Astrogem rather than folding them into it. In this genre that separation almost always means dedicated summon items — tickets that pull from a specific banner without spending premium currency — but which banner, and whether the two differ from each other, has not been stated. We are not going to assign them roles they have not been given. Note the quantities though: 20 Stone of Destiny and 10 Card: Uncharted Fate are meaningful counts, not token amounts, which suggests both are consumed in single digits per use rather than by the hundred.

Extreme Trial Keys

The only item on the list that names a game mode. Two keys means Extreme Trial is gated by an entry item — a structure that normally indicates repeatable, high-reward content with a limited number of attempts. Whether keys regenerate over time, drop from other content, or are purchasable is unannounced, as is what Extreme Trial actually is.

Mission level — the ceiling your currencies run into

Currency is not the only thing gating progress: the closed beta had a “mission level” that rises as you clear Adventure Progress and daily missions, and that level raises your character level cap and skill cap. In other words, a stack of upgrade materials cannot push a unit past whatever your account-wide mission level allows.

This is the single most important structural fact about the economy that we can state before the August 13 release (historical), because it changes what “saving up” means. Hoarding resources while skipping the mission track leaves you with materials you are not yet allowed to spend; clearing the track first raises the ceiling those materials pour into. If you only follow one progression system in week one, follow this one.

(Source: press coverage of the January 2026 China closed beta. Whether the global build keeps the same naming and the same caps is unconfirmed — the mechanic is the takeaway, not the numbers.)

What we deliberately are not telling you

There is no published information on: summon costs, daily or weekly earn rates, stamina or energy (the game may not use one), a battle pass or subscription, regional pricing, or any conversion between these five items. A currency guide that fills those gaps in before the August 13 release (historical) is filling them with guesswork, and the numbers would be wrong within a day of release.

What to do with this before the August 13 release (historical)

  1. the closed pre-registration campaign, so all five land on your account at once rather than being earned.
  2. Do not plan a pull count. You cannot compute one without the summon price.
  3. Read the gacha guide for how duplicates turn into fragments and Star levels, which is the part of the economy that is confirmed.
  4. Come back on August 13, when this page gets real prices instead of confirmed names.

One recruit item is named by the publisher outright; the progression sinks it feeds are listed in the store description.

Frequently Asked Questions

What currencies does JoJo: Golden Spirit have?

Five are officially confirmed, because they are the pre-registration reward list: Coins (soft currency), Astrogem (premium currency), Stone of Destiny, Card: Uncharted Fate and Extreme Trial Keys. What each one buys, and at what price, has not been published.

How many summons do 600 Astrogem get me?

It cannot be calculated yet. The Astrogem price of a single summon and of a ten-pull has not been announced, so 600 Astrogem does not convert into a pull count. Any site quoting one before August 13, 2026 is inventing the price.

What is an Extreme Trial Key for?

It is an entry item for a mode called Extreme Trial — the only reward on the pre-registration list that names a game mode. Two are given at launch. Whether keys regenerate, drop elsewhere or can be bought, and what the mode contains, are all unannounced.
